Hastings Manor is a 253-bed long-term care Municipally owned facility located in Belleville, Ontario that has been providing care for the frail and elderly since 1908. It is operated in partnership with the County of Hastings, City of Belleville, and City of Quinte West, and is legislated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under Homes for the Aged and Rest Homes Act.
In 1998, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care advised Hastings Manor that the current facility did not comply with structural standards and needed to be rebuilt. The construction of a new facility began in 2002. In August 2004, residents and staff moved into the brand-new state-of-the-art 185,000 square foot facility.
Hastings Manor is dedicated to the continuous improvement of the resident's quality of life and the continual development of the organization, its people, its capabilities, and the capacity to enhance its own future.
Hastings Manor recognizes that each resident must be given the opportunity to realize their unique potential, to enjoy a meaningful lifestyle, and the right to receive the best possible care.
The commitment to the residents, the generosity of the community, and the partnerships with health care providers are the cornerstones on which Hastings Manor will continue to build for the future.
